In this final terminology section, we want to look at a few more words that are sometimes misunderstood. They
are mainly words used in the King James Version, but also appear in more modern translations where the translators decide to retain some traditional terms.
Saint – A person set apart, or holy. In the Old Testament it usually
refers to Israel or to those faithful to God within the nation of Israel, some translations use “holy one(s)” instead. In the New Testament it refers to anyone who is
baptised and has dedicated themselves to following Jesus.
